Description
Very scarce near-mint original blues LP featuring ROBERT PETE WILLIAMS on the PRESTIGE BLUESVILLE label, from 1960.
Title is “Free Again.” Monaural pressing. Catalog number is Prestige/Bluesville 1026.
This is the original pressing – not a reissue. Label is blue with silver print, with deep groove.
At the time these recordings were made, Robert Pete Williams had been released from prison and was serving a seven year parole to a farmer near Denham Springs, Louisiana, where he spent some eighty or ninety hours a week taking care of animals, planting and sowing, cleaning the grounds, washing dishes, etc. for $75 a month and room and board.

Jacket: Jacket is extremely nice – it would grade NM except for small worn spots at the top right and bottom right corners and a tiny chip at the bottom center seam. The front art work is brilliant with no traces of wear. Reverse is clean and white, looks like new. “PREVIEW COPY” is stamped on the reverse in red ink. This is a very fine jacket you will be proud to display.
Vinyl: Stunningly beautiful NM disc with full brilliant gloss, appears to possibly be unplayed. Plays beautifully with superb fidelity. I am certain the winning bidder will be very pleased.
Comes with original PRESTIGE RECORDS printed inner sleeve in excellent condition.
