Format: super rare fully signed copy by the band including:

Jim Kerr, lead vocals (1977 – present day).

Charlie Burchill, electric & acoustic guitars, violin, saxophone, keyboards, occasional backing vocals (1977 – present day)

John Giblin, bass guitar (1985 – 1986).

Michael MacNeil, keyboards, piano, synthesizers, accordion, backing vocals (1978 – 1990).

Mel Gaynor, drums, percussion, backing vocals (1982–1991 1997–1998 2002–2017).

All have signed in a blend of black and blue medium marker-style pens, with Jim’s, John’s, Michael’s and Mel’s a strong 8/10 for definition and ink coverage. Charlie’s signature has minor smearing where it has clearly been rubbed against another service whilst the ink was slightly wet so graded 7/10, and still an excellent signature.

This is a stunning set of 100% genuine signatures, which would look amazing mounted, framed and glazed!

Condition: this item was a huge seller and sold more 900,00 copies in the UK alone, so an easy vinyl copy to pick up cheaply. On the basis that 100% of the intrinsic value is within the mega rare fully signed sleeve, the outer sleeve is graded only, and the vinyl has not been play tested etc. The cover has multiple indentation lines (no actual ink, and only visible when looking at the sleeve at an angle and in certain light, and this has affected both the single sleeve’s front and back panel. On the front panel in the right-hand corner someone has written (again no ink but a clear indentation), ‘Simple Minds signed at Milton Keynes 1986’, and again this is only visible as a writing indentation with no ink and is not visible ‘face on’. The bottom of the front panel has moderate rubbing and a horizontal section of 2.5cm running along the base of the panel, which some residual paper surface has attached itself to the sleeve (see photo’s). The rear of the sleeve has material damage, with a large strip of the gloss finish of the lower edge of the rear panel missing (see photo’s). This rear damage would be invisible if the item was professionally framed.  So this sleeve is not perfect, but if professionally mounted, framed and glazed, the indentations on the all-important signed panel would be nigh-on impossible to spot through glass, and this would be superb and rare artefact of this amazing band at their eighties peak!

Provenance:  The set of autographs comes with a full COA via highly respected ‘Memorabilia UK’, with UAC registered dealer ‘22’ and ‘AFTAL’ registered dealer ‘13’. The original COA includes the following:

A unique A4 sized numbered original printed certificate. The Certificate will show the stock item number from our official company records so the item of memorabilia can be easily traced for any future reference.

The Certificate description will be filled out and signed by hand so that it cannot be re-printed or forged.

A second A4 sized page (directly printed off from your order on the website) showing the full description of the item / the code number / a thumbnail image of the autograph and the certification (detailing any known provenance & history). In this instance, the record was signed in person backstage at the Milton Keynes National Bowl, UK on 21st June 1986.
