Description

 THE ROCKETS
Mean Mistress b/w Little Donna 7"

Original and only release by the Australian band the ROCKETS on White Rider Records. This 1980 release features Rod Radalj (ex-Scientist and soon to be Hoodoo Guru) on guitar and Boris Sudovic (Scientists and Beasts of Bourbon etc.) on bass, among others. They were a short lived Perth band that played power-pop punk in the best sense (Standells, Modern Lovers, DMZ) and broke up before releasing anything else. This is not an easy record to come by these days and like the other few releases on White Rider (the 2nd Scientists EP), was pressed in an extremely limited, one-off run. The cover is on heavy black and silver card and is complete with original photo insert sheet. Both cover and record are a very strong Excellent Condition. The a-side label has the name of the original owner and date of purchase "Davis 80" printed neatly in tiny blue biro lettering. It is smaller than 1cm wide, and only visible up close. The record has been meticulously stored since it was purchased in Perth 28 years ago. Don't miss your chance to pick up one of the earliest and rarest releases featuring the enigmatic Australian rock legend, Roddy Radalj. Good Luck!
