Description
This is a fine copy of a 1983 compilation of the complete singles by Boston garage legends the Rockin' Ramrods, released on the French Eva label in 1983. After the Remains, the Ramrods were the premiere Boston rock band of the mid-'60s. They released eight singles between 1963 and 1967, most of which were original compositions by bassist Ronn Campisi or the group as a whole. Standouts include the early stomper "She Lied" (included on volume 8 of the Pebbles series) and the gentler 45, "Bright Lit Blue Skies"/"Mister Wind," both of which were covered by area prep-rockers the Rising Storm on their LP. Their material has been comped several times since, mostly on CD, but this was the first to appear in any format, and it's the only comp to include all 16 of the group's single tracks. The jacket is close to M- with some light creasing along the spine and seams on the front cover, and a little sticker residue on front cover (EX+). Visually, the disc is clean with some hairline scraping and light staining. The source discs play with varying levels of surface noise (and fidelity). Graded visually, M-.
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
