Description
Ease It is a jazz album credited to Rocky Boyd's Quintet, featuring Kenny Dorham, Ron Carter, Pete La Roca, and Walter Bishop. The LP I am selling is an original, first press copy and is the only known recording by the saxophonist. This LP was first released by Jazztime Records (JTL 001) in 1961.
Unfortunately, this LP has one major flaw. I seldom sell flawed records unless they are very, very rare.
The "lip" on the outer edge of the vinyl is damaged. The lip is cracked and split before the needle reaches the initial groove on the vinyl. The split is 1 1/2 inches in length. You can easily inspect the fracture by looking on Side #1. The crack is directly above the title on the label -- "Ease It."
On the whole, "Ease It" plays well except for the very beginning for about 5 seconds. This means you must place your stylus at the beginning of the groove rather than on the lip. The record plays normally and well once you get past the cracked lip.
Past the crack, the vinyl is VG+ and the cover is VG+. You are more than welcome to return the LP (no questions asked) if this record does not meet your expectations. Email me should you have further questions.
International Customers: DO NOT SEND PAYMENT UNTIL YOU RECEIVE INVOICE
I am an expert shipper. I will remove the inner sleeve and vinyl from the outer sleeve to prevent seam-splits in transit, and I will package the LP using a rigid mailer and reinforced cardboard. Being a collector myself, I understand the great importance of accurate product listings, professional packing, and fast shipping.
International customers are welcome!!!
International Mail $25
Canada $17
