Description

Artist: Rod Stewart Title: An Old Raincoat Won`t Ever Let You Down Label: Vertigo Cat No: V0 4 Year: 1969 Country: UK
I am in the process of selling my Record Collection, I always purchased the best copies I could find. This is the Rare 1969 UK debut album by Rod Stewart called `An Old Raincoat Won`t Ever Let You Down` released on the very collectible Vertigo Spiral (Swirl) label, this was no 4 in the series (VO 4) (later issues were on the Spaceship label design). What makes this copy so rare is that the vinyl is in NM condition. This also has the  first issue gatefold sleeve with V0 4 on rear side.  Matrix: Side 1  1Y1  -  Side 2 - 2Y1

Vinyl (NM) Plays Great with no sticks or jumps etc, even under bright halogen lights I can only see some light sleeve removal scuffs, no feelable scratches! Top Copy
Inner Sleeve (VG+) - comes with original Vertigo Swirl inner
Labels - Lovely Clean Swirl labels, no visible spindle lines, showing hardly played
Sleeve (EX+) - Original 1st issue matt finish gatefold, no bad edgewear or ringwear, a nice EX copy (Please see photos for complete overview)
Hard to find these Swirl vinyl`s in top condition

I am in the process of selling lots of obscure & rare Records/CD`s, I will be posting regularly why not check them out!

I use professionally made packers with card stiffeners & record removed from album cover

I use lots of photos to show as accurately as possible what you are getting (also I dont cut the corners of the record sleeve off the picture!!)

Gradings: I use the standard UK gradings as set out in Record Collector Magazine below:

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Near Mint,  EX+, VG+ etc are acceptable additions to help `fine tune` descriptions for the buyer
