LABEL: Blue Goose BGM 002 STEREO/MONO: Stereo YEAR: 1970 COUNTRY: Australia CONDITION: RECORD: Very Good only (there are some surface marks, some splotches, and a bit of crackle and pop (especialli in the run in and run out grooves). This is vinyl from the 70s (and not pressed by a major). If you want sonic perfection buy a CD or digital download. If you want vinyl that breathes, crackles and has warmth then this is for you. SLEEVE: Very Good ( some light wear to edges - some slight bubbling to sleeve, watermark to top back sleeve) - see scan) (Grading system is per US "Osborne's Official Price Guide” book and is predominantly visual but records normally played also) NOTES: RODRIGUEZ is (was) the most criminally ignored artist in rock ( along with Roy Hamilton) . Starting out in the late 60s in Detroit he sang a "modern folk" with electric instruments. His music is difficult to categorise as it fuses elements of Rock, Folk, Jazz, Soul, Blues and even Classical flourishes. This was recorded in the One of his tracks became an underground FM hit in Australia in the 70s, on the back of that his music started to circulate Australia on tapes etc as the original albums were impossible to find. Some enterprising soul eventually licenced his material and it was released in Australia where it became part of the nonmainstream , underground culture. Rodriguez actually toured Australia in the late 70s and played to and audience of 15000 in Sydney , even though in the States he had not played to more than a hundred or so people at a time! His sound is timeless and doesn't date... it still sounds fresh today. These tracks were recorded in the late 60s early 70s in the USA and are totally obscure over there. This guy is a legend. - Packaging on LP vinyl records is in custom made CARDBOARD boxes or TOUGH envelopes with cardborad backing for 45s.
- Books, tapes and DVDs are sent in tough envelopes.
- Packaging on all else in in bubble wrap, foam paper, paper in tough bags or boxes where applicable.
- Payment is expected within 7 days of auction end.
