Description
TITLE : RODRIGUEZ - coming from reality LP
LABEL / CAT # : SUSSEX / SXBS 7012
COUNTRY / YEAR OF RELEASE : USA / 1971
DESCRIPTION :
WOW! Brilliant 2nd (and final) album from SIXTO RODRIGUEZ that was poorly received on initial release in the states where this was originally pressed. All albums from Rodriguez are collectable but these early USA pressings are without doubt the hardest to find, (no publicity & poor sales).
It wasn't until the late 70s when Australia / New Zealand picked up on him (and later still, DJs like DAVID HOLMES in the late 90s) and his individual psych-fuzz tinged version of singer-songwriter folk was fully appreciated.......absolutely brilliant, especially the awesome 'climb up on my music' (for the DJs) ......very hard to find original albums from any country!! .....but remember, this is an ORIGINAL USA 1ST PRESSING.
TRACKLISTING :
side A: climb up on my music / a most disgusting song / I think of you / heikki's suburbia bus tour / silver words
side B: sandrevan lullaby-lifestyls / to whom it may concern / it started out so nice / halfway up the stairs / cause
CONDITION : Vinyl: EXCELLENT- (v. light superficial surface marks only) In DIE-CUT GATEFOLD picture sleeve : VG+ (minor corner, spine & ring wear. Would have graded higher but has a small tear - near chair & bottle on cover + minor creases) see scan image (includes Original insert-lyric sheet in EXCELLENT condition).
Check out my other listings ....... Loads of similar records are up for auction NOW & over the next week, Including a few genuine rarities / holy grails!
