Description

ROLAND ALEXANDER – PLEASURE BENT – NEW JAZZ 8267 – M-/M- - RVG – MONO

Recorded at Van Gelder’s studio on June 17, 1961, this New Jazz recording session features Roland Alexander on tenor, Marcus Belgrave on trumpet, Ronnie Mathews on piano, Gene Taylor on bass and Clarence Stroman on drums. This was his first recording session. SIDE A: LIL’S BLUES; ORDERS TO TAKE OUT and DORMAN ROAD. SIDE B: PLEASURE BENT; I’LL BE AROUND and MY MELANCHOLY BABY. The initials ‘RVG” are stamped on both sides of the blank vinyl. The labels are correct, but the liner notes are incorrect in the order of track listing. This is a MONO recording.

I have graded both the LP and the record jacket as M- for the following reasons. The vinyl is clean on both sides of the LP. There is no sign of wear in or around the spindle hole. The record jacket is in excellent to near mint condition, with very little sign of wear. There are no taped or worn seams. “RW” is stamped on the liner notes. If you have any questions, please email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks.

EXCLUSION STATEMENT! eBay recently excluded the following countries for bids on vinyl records and CDs. Excluded are: Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Bulgaria, Latvia, Thailand, Romania, Russian Federation, Vietnam, South Africa and China. If you wish to bid, please contact me through eBay and I can place your eBay ID in a list, which allows you to bid. If you are considering bidding, please do it as soon as possible as I will not be able to do it at the last minute. Once you are on the list, you will be able to bid on future auction. Thanks, Tom

PLEASE NOTE: This will be my last auction until after Labor Day in September, when I will return with more LPs. Thanks for participating in my auctions and I hope all have an enjoyable summer. I hope to see you in September. Tom

PAYMENT & SHIPPING

Satisfaction guaranteed on item. I regret that the USPS has raised their prices. The LP will be well packed. Fully packed in a crush proof box, it weighs 1.8 pounds. Due to increased cost, I have to charge an additional $1.00 for packing in the crush proof box. Believe me, it’s worth it! The method of payment is PayPal. As of October 20, 2008, eBay has decided to make PayPal the only method of payment for this item! This way, eBay has you coming and going! If you are a bidder who prefers to pay by other means, I suggest that you file a complaint! I regret the inconvenience. The LP will be shipped either by Media Rate @ $2.98 or by Priority Mail @ $5.80 and up depending where you reside. Overseas bidders should consider First Class Mail International. The cost to Europe and Asia begins at $20.45 in the crush proof box. It’s worth it! USPS has hammered overseas shipping!
