Description
This is the original UK LP by The ROLLING STONES, Self-Titled - ROLLING STONES, their 1st LP, released 16th April 1964, Mono, on the DECCA label LK 4605. This is the RARE verison with 'Mona' credits on the cover and side 1's label. Matrix numbers are, SIDE 1:- XARL-6271-1A, SIDE 2:- XARL-6272-3A, stamper codes are, SIDE 1:- 2D / DU, SIDE 2:- 2D / DK.
The original 1964 UK MacNeill Press cover with top and bottom flipbacks with the RARE 'Mona' credit is in EX+ condition, beautifully clean on the laminated front and back, the back is super clean, displaying its almost new brilliant whiteness!, such a pleasure to see, only a little signs of handling on the left hand opening edge, Stunning!!!!, how many covers do you see this fresh and white?, not many. The laminated front is superb with only very very minor small lamination creasing in a few area's, nothing heavy and in no way distracts you from the beautiful overall apperance!, the cover has no unwanted writing, no rips, the spine is lovely and clean, perfectly readable.
The vinyl is in EX+ condition, gleaming with all it's original shine and lustre!, I have played both sides (very carefully!) and the vinyl plays MINT-!!!, ABSOLUTLEY STUNNING SUPER CRISP, CLEAR MONO SOUND!, the quality of this pressing is truely astonishing!!!, from start to finish the vinyl plays as virtually new!!!. The crystal clear sound, with no hiss, pops or crackle blew me away!!!, this is no exaggeration!!, A WONDERFULL! PLAYING RECORD!
The label's are in EX+ condition, with the RARE 'Mona' credit on side 1, displays all their lovely original red colour and the silver lettering, their is no unwanted writing, the centre spindal hole shows only minimal wear.
The original 1964 UK Decca inner sleeve is in VG+++ condition, lovely and clean, front and back, their is no unwanted writing, no rips, just one 1 inch split (top right hand corner), otherwise this inner sleeve would of be graded alot higher.
Altogether a lovely clean example of this rare LP by the ROLLING STONES!, STUNNING sound quality! and a beautiful clean cover, together with the RARE 'Mona' credit on the cover and label, makes for a very disireable LP, espcially in this great condition.
