Description

Please be aware that all records are VISUALLY graded only - all grades are given based on how they appear under my desk lamp - since I do not own a record player. I cannot guarantee that discs will be click and skip free, although any marks and scratches that might possibly cause such problems will be highlighted clearly in the description.

No. 2

This listing is for an original, 1st press copy of the Rolling Stones second album, No. 2. This is the original mono pressing with unboxed Decca logo and grooved label.

The record cover features the controversial 'blind man' text on the back, which was soon deleted from the cover.

Not in top condition, but would be perfect as a collection filler as you build your original UK Stones collection!

Title No. 2 Year of Release 1964 Catalogue Number LK 4661 Label Red Decca with Groove and Unboxed logo Tax Code on Disc KT Sleeve Manufacturer James Upton Ltd. Side 1 Matrix Number XARL 6619-2A Side 2 Matrix Number XARL 6620-1A Side 1 Stampers 3B / IH Side 2 Stampers 2B / G Cover Condition The cover is in VG+ condition. It's holding up nicely with a nice, clean, colourful front cover with just a very light disc impression and some small creases in the laminate around the edges. Top and bottom seam are holding perfec. Spine is looking nice with no splits or wear and is fully complete and legible. Back is pretty clean but has creamed a little and has a few little dirt spots with a little browning around the mouth edge and spine from handling. There's a small tear at the top right that's taken off most of the 'Mono' format. Inner Sleeve Condition - Inserts Condition - Disc Condition The disc is in VG condition. The disc has a nice shine to it but has a fair amount of light scuffing and marks. Looks like this one would play with a little crackle, but there are no marks that look like they would skip the needle. Label Condition The labels are in VG+ condition. The labels are clean with bright, silver text. There's a fair amount of light spindlewear and some wear around the centrehole as you can see in the photos below.  

 

All records have been visually graded under a strong, 125W natural light desk lamp.
