THE ROLLING STONES
Out Of Our Heads - UK Stereo Export Press!
This listing is for an original 1965 STEREO 1st press UK export copy of the Rolling Stones LP 'Out Of Our Heads'.
This original export copy of the Rolling Stones album 'Out of Our Heads' was never issued in the UK, but was instead pressed in tiny numbers specificially for export. As this was 1965 and stereo was still considered a luxury, the vast majority of copies that sold back in the day were mono and, today, it is nearly impossible to find an original stereo copy with the groove. You can find plenty of stereo copies with the late 68-69 ungrooved labels, but the original grooved stereo copies are much, much rarer!
A nice example of this mega rare Rolling Stones export LP!
Please check out large, detailed photos of this record at the bottom of this listing.
Title Out Of Our Heads Year of Release 1965 Catalogue Number SKL 4725 Label Blue Decca with Grooved Labels and Unboxed Logo Tax Code on Disc KT Sleeve Manufacturer Robert Stace Side 1 Matrix Number ZAL-6791-2L Side 2 Matrix Number ZAL-6792-2L Side 1 Stampers 2B / BK Side 2 Stampers 1 / I Cover Condition The cover is in VG- condition. It's holding up okay but is showing its age. The front cover is clean but has got a fair amount of light laminate rubbing as you can see in the photos below. There are some little creases around the edges and there's a small tear, about 2 inches long, at the mouth edge running over Charlie Watt's face. The seams are holding and just have a little rubbing. The spine has a few little creases running through it but is complete with no splits or tears and is complete and fully legible. The back cover has creamed a little but is looking pretty clean. There's some light browning in places from handling and a small tape scar on the mouth edge near the top that shows where a tear of about 2" was repaired. The tape has long gone today. There's also an address written in blue pen as you can see in the photo below. All in all, holding up nice but showing its age. Inner Sleeve Condition The original FFSS inner sleeve is included and is in G+ condition. It's holding up okay but has a fair amount of creasing in the corners and there is old cellotape at the top of each seam as you can see in the photos above. 'VG+' has been written in small pen in the corner of one side and the seams are just starting to show a little splitting in the middle, but overall the inner sleeve is holding okay. Just showing its age. Inserts Condition - Disc Condition The disc is in VG+ condition. The disc has a nice shine to it ans has some light scuffing and surface marks, but there's nothing heavy or serious and looks pretty clean overall. Nice disc! Label Condition The labels are in EX- condition. The labels are clean with bright, silver text. There's just a very little, light spindlewear and a touch of wear around the centrehole, a little moreso on the side 2 label.
