Description
"The Rolling Stones".....
Issued on 17th November 1964 on Decca...LK 4605...UK pressing in mono....Housed in a front laminated MacNeil sleeve with top and bottom flipbacks...Complete with original Decca poly lined inner sleeve...
As there are a few variants on the sleeve and labels of this pressing,here are the details on this one:...Unboxed Decca logo..."Made In England The Decca Record Co.Ltd" at the top of the A label...On The B label it reads "Made In England" (Nothing else)...Top and bottom flipbacks (With the laminate folded over on the spine to form a band)...Track A4 is listed on the sleeve and labels as "I Need You" but actually plays "Mona"..."Route 66" is listed on the sleeve and labels as "Route 66" not "(Get Your Kicks On) Route 66"....It plays the long version of "Tell Me"....The KT Tax code is on the label and run out grooves (Though it MAY be MT on the A side).
The matrix numbers are:
Side 1:..XARL 1A...
Side 2:..XARL 3A...
The mothers and stampers are:
Side 1:...2B HG KT...Maybe MT.
Side 2:...1 GH KT....
The record has a few light scuffs and hairlines..None of which look serious or likely to affect play...Both sides play really well with the only defects being a couple of light clicks at the end of "Carol"...It has a nice bright sound with no groove wear...It does'nt stick or jump ...It's not dished and there are no edge warps...So..VG+ if not better!...
The labels are undamaged with untarnished silver text...There are moderate spindle trails (not excessive)... .
The sleeve has a few laminate creases and stress marks around the edges...The corners are slightly worn...There is light ringwear on the front...The back has the expected age discolouring...It has no major defects or damage...
The inner has some light creasing and age discolouring but remains unsplit....
A clean playing copy of their first album...A sleeve with no major defects...
