On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by The Rolling Stones called 'Rolling Stones' and is a MONO UK '4.06' Pressing!!!! THIS IS SIMPLY A MASSIVELY RARE LP IN EVERY RESPECT!!!!  HOWEVER THIS IS WITHOUT ANY DOUBT THE RAREST POSSIBLE 'STOCK' PRESSING OF THIS LP EVER (EXCLUDING THE MISTAKEN '2.52' PRESSINGS) AND IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE!!!!   I WILL EXPLAIN.

IN MID 1968 DECCA DROPPED THE 'GROOVE' ON ALL ITS DECCA LABELS - CHANGING ALL ITS SUBSEQUENT LPS TO 'FLAT' LABELS WITH NO GROOVE.  THE LAST DECCA LP PRESSED ON A 'GROOVED' UNBOXED DECCA LABEL WAS JOHN MAYALLS 'BARE WIRES' (CAT NUMBER LK 4945 - RELEASED IN JUNE 1968) - WHICH IS WHY OF COURSE YOU DONT SEE A 'GROOVED' DECCA LABEL ON ANY SUBSEQUENT DECCA LPS.  THE UNBOXED LABEL DESIGN STAYED THE SAME - JUST WITHOUT THE 'GROOVE' ON THE LABEL.  THIS SHORT LIVED LABEL DESIGN ONLY LASTED JUST OVER A YEAR - WITH THE UNBOXED DECCA LOGO BEING DROPPED COMPLETELY IN LATE 1969, BEING REPLACED WITH THE 'BOXED' DECCA LOGO.  THIS MADE THIS UNBOXED 'FLAT' DECCA LABEL THE SHORTEST LASTING DESIGN OF THE 1960S.  AND THAT IS WHAT MAKES THIS PARTICULAR LP THE RAREST 'STOCK' PRESSING EVER OF THE ROLLING STONES 1ST LP!!!!  BY LATE 1968/EARLY 1969 WHEN THIS LP WAS PRESSED - IT HAD LONG SINCE LEFT THE UK CHARTS AND WAS ONLY SELLING IN TINY AMOUNTS.  MOST STONES FANS WERE BUYING THE CURRENT STONES LPS AT THE TIME (LIKE BEGGARS BANQUET) AND THIS FIRST LP WAS LARGELY IGNORED.  AND COUPLED WITH THE FACT THAT THERE WERE NO DOUBT PLENTY OF 'LEFT OVER' PRESSINGS ON THE 'GROOVED' LABEL DATING FROM THE MID 1960S, IT MAKES THIS LP RARER STILL!!!!  THIS EXTREMELY RARE 1968/69 PRESSING ON THE UNBOXED 'FLAT' DECCA LABEL WOULD HAVE ONLY EVER BEEN PRESSED IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS (AND FOR A VERY SHORT PERIOD OF TIME) - AND THIS EXPLAINS WHY TODAY YOU ONLY EVER SEE EARLY 1960s PRESSINGS ON THE 'GROOVED' LABEL, OR 1970s 'RE-ISSUES' ON THE 'BOXED' DECCA LABEL!!!!  THIS IS WITHOUT ANY DOUBT THE RAREST POSSIBLE 'STOCK' PRESSING OF THIS LP AND IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE!!!!  NOT ONLY THAT BUT IT HAS A BRILLIANT CONDITIONED COVER, AND AN AWESOME MINT RECORD!!!!  THIS IS THE ULTRA RARE 1968/69 MONO '4.06' PRESSING ON THE MEGA RARE 'FLAT' UNBOXED DECCA LABEL (WITH NO GROOVE), ORIGINAL INNER SLEEVE, AND ORIGINAL LAMINATED 'MacNEIL' COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS INCREDIBLY HARD TO FIND ON THIS LABEL, AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND WITH AN AWESOME MINT RECORD - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!! This is the ORIGINAL Decca UK UNBOXED MONO '4.06' pressing and is in STUNNING condition!!!! The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is LK 4605 on the ORIGINAL UNBOXED 'Grooved' Decca Label (see picture) and is a UK MONO pressing!!!! All the tracks are pure quality Rolling Stones at their best!!!! Any fan of The Rolling Stones, or 60s music in general, will want to have this in their collection!!!!

The record labels are in AWESOME condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!! IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HAS ONLY EVER BEEN PLAYED 2 OR 3 TIMES AT THE VERY MOST!!!! The vinyl is in AWESOME condition!!!! Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, NO hairlines, and only a VERY few of the VERY lightest paper scuffs only visible under EXTREME light!!!!  ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND LOOKS AWESOME!!!!  It is great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, and NO crackle!!!!  Not only that but the sound quality is simply AWESOME with CRYSTAL CLEAR sound, NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!!  The record must grade MINT(Minus) if not better!!!! AWESOME RECORD!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also has its ORIGINAL inner sleeve!!!!  The 'MacNeill' Laminated Cover is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only slight corner wear, only a few LIGHT creases (this is NOT a heavily creased cover and still VERY flat looking), VERY shiny laminate, and NO writing!!!!  The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated back is in STUNNING condition with NO grubbyness, NO writing, NO wear and NO yellowing (MEGA rare on this cover)!!!!  This cover MUST grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!!  THIS IS THE RAREST POSSIBLE 'STOCK' PRESSING OF THIS LP EVER, AND IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  IT ALSO HAS AN AMAZING MINT RECORD AND PLAYS SUPERBLY - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS SERIOUSLY RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
