THIS IS A RARE OPPORTUNITY TO GET A FIRST PRESSING ALBUM FROM THE FIRST USE OF THE MASTER RECORDING TAPE ON THESE RADIO STATION DJ PROMOTION ALBUMS.

On offer here is a rare near mint to mint condition LP. This is a first pressing. This record came from a now retired DJ from the 60’s and 70’s. This was a result of multiple 1st pressing promotion copies were sent to different radio station DJ’s. He snagged some now stunning LP’s and stored them in his basement.

This is a first pressing record since it was one that they sent to the radio station DJ’s as promotional copies.

Most of the LP covers from this collection are in pretty good condition. Some show dust and mildew from being stored in the basement. I did some light cleaning of the dust. but the LP’s themselves are in Excellent to near mint and some in mint condition.

Take a carful look at the photos of this record and judge for yourself. There are no scratches, dust or smudge on this record. It is very difficult to find a record this old in this mint condition. They are so good I only played one. The rest I did not play for fear of creating an accidental scratch. The one I played out of this collection was perfect.

This collection of vinyl records that this record is from is in absolutely SUPERB condition!!!! 

Most of the 60s/70s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable.  This collection is NOT and has virtually NO scratches, NO hairlines, NO scufflines ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!!  THE RECORDS STILL RETAINS THEIR ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND LOOKS SUPERB!!!!  It is also GREAT to find that the records will play as STUNNINGLY as the visual!!!! 

These first pressing records will play with virtually NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, barely ANY crackle AT ALL, and only some VERY low level background sound on the run on grooves & gaps - NOT in the music AT ALL!!!!  The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!! 

The record must grade Excellent+ to Near Mint if not better!!!!  SUPERB RECORD!!!!

Perfect for the collector who still wishes to transfer the music to tape for enjoyment while keeping the record in mint condition. This record will sell fast.

WHY THIS IS IMPORTANT! THE PROMOTIONAL COPIES FOR THE DJ’S WERE ALMOST ALWAYS FROM THE FIRST PRESSING SINCE THEY WERE GIVEN FREE TO RADIO STATIONS BEFORE THE RELEASE OF THE ALBUM TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC FOR SALE.

THESE ARE AMONG THE MOST RARE FIRST PRESSING SINCE COMPARED TO LATER RELEASES THE RADIO STATION PROMO COPIES ARE MUCH LOWER IN QUANTITY AND ARE FROM THE FIRST USE OF THE MASTER RECORDING TAPE AND FIRST PRESSING MASTER.

WHY FIRST PRESSINGS ARE IMPORTANT TO THE SERIOUS COLLECTOR:

The first pressings are from the master come from the first use of the master tape. Tape wears out and loses fidelity the more times it is used.

The same is true with the master, the master used in the first pressing is brand new and now worn down from pressings in the hundreds of thousands. This results in loss of fidelity and the first pressings always sound much better than the production records purchased at the retail level.

About music: When the industry moved from the Long Playing 33 1/3 album to the cassette tape and CD they use a sampling compression method and did not capture all the fidelity of the original LP. Then when they moved to the satellite download format (sirus/xm) they even employed even more intense sampling and lost even more fidelity.

Thus no modern record format sounds as good as the Long Playing 33 1/3 record album. Couple this excellent recording format with 1970’s tube or transistor amplifiers and receivers you get the best reproduction of music that is available to collectors.

Modern A/V audio visual receivers have very poor fidelity because with the modern A/V equipment they increase the number in input/output options from 3-4 to a dozen or more. This cost more money to build and the competitive nature was such that they had to keep the price the same. Thus, they had used cheaper electronic components especially in the two heavy output transformers to keep their cost in line.

Just lift up a 1970’s receivers or amplifiers and compare to the very light weight modern A/V receivers. The new A/V equipment easily weighs half what the classic 1970’s receivers and amplifiers weigh.

The absolute best listening experience is a studio promo album played on a high quality turntable and a 1970’s receiver or amplifier and a good set of monitor speakers like Polk 10’s or better.
