MEGA RARE!! ROLLING STONES 45RPM DEMO!!!! Original 1964 UK. DECCA. ***DEMO**DEMO***
“Little Red Rooster”. Release Date 6-11-64.
Very earliest FIRST PRESSING!! (No Reserve!!!!!).
Up for auction is this super RARE ROLLING STONES DEMO 45 RPM single with a release date 6-11-64. These demos of course were not intended for release to the general public, and as such are very scarce and very few exist.
COVER: Standard DECCA paper sleeve. EX++.
VINYL: Still retains a nice glossy sheen and is perfectly flat with no warps, skips or jumps. The surface does show a number of harmless scuffs and light stylus touches. One stylus mark, approx, 5mm long, is clearly visible, but does not affect the play. Graded; a very strong VG+.
LABELS: Quite lovely. Side two only has a name written on it in dark blue biro, which is virtually invisible against the dark blue label. Side One displays the familiar large ‘A’ as is common on demos to make it easier for radio D.J’s to immediately recognise the A side without having to lose their eyesight to view an otherwise miniscule side one print. Just above the large ‘A’ are the printed words “Demonstration Sample Not For Sale”. Below the large ‘A’ is the printed release date 6-11-64. Also on the DECCA demos is the addition on the label’s outer perimeter of 5mm radiating lines, common to these particular demos.

AUDIO: Very good despite the light surface indiscretions as mentioned, which inevitably do produce some extraneous surface on play. However, the classic sounds of the Stones at their very best, still comes across strong and any surface sound other than the recorded sound is quite forgivable. No other issues otherwise.
To sum up. This RARE Demo single is definitely a MUST HAVE of very collectable quality, and would certainly be a great addition to any existing collection. The sounds are superb and truly classic. This rare single does not surface very often, so don’t miss out. Grab yourself a large slice of great musical history - and enjoy!!
