The Swingin 'Pig Records was a bootleg label with an initially unknown origin that predominantly LPs and singles released. It was the first publications in the early 1980s. During this time, released three singles and a score of LPs  . The label was later one of the first, the bootleg CDs published  and the first that the bootleg CDs in high-quality box sets offered.

Around 1985 the label had an office in Luxembourg , and made his recorded music on a small record label in Brakel of Germany from selling .There were now GEMA fees paid, while the various artists went away empty-handed, however. This was possible because in some European countries had expired, the rights to the artist after 20 or 25 years.  . After massive protests by various artists (including Metallica , The Rolling Stones , Neil Young and Frank Zappa ) copyright have been changed in the countries concerned and the label disappeared from the market in the mid 1990s.

Known was The Swingin 'Pig Records , above all not authorized by his recordings of the Beatles , Led Zeppelin and the Rolling Stones. The LP / CD Box Atlantic City '89 was the best-known publication of the label. It was a digital recording of a live concert by the Rolling Stones that was taken from a satellite transmission. The group tried several times to ban the publication. In 1991 it came before the District Court of Hamburg to several court cases, has been banned as a consequence of the distribution for a short time. On 22 March 1991, the district court of the prohibition and the LP / CD set was allowed to be sold  . With over 70,000 copies, it is the best selling bootleg of the world  .
