Description
THE ROLLING STONES - "AFTERMATH" 1966 MONO VINYL DECCA LK 4786. I was definitely Stones and not Beatles and 53 years ago I was snapping up their albums as soon as they came out. I have played the disc and I am happy that it meets Record Collectors' EXCELLENT CONDITION grade.
THE DISC. Both SIDES carry the visible surface marks signalling it has been well-played but both play excellently, subject to the following comments. SIDE ONE - Track 3 ("Lady Jane") has some crackle early on and at two separate points I can hear five audible snicks. There is a wee crackle at the end of Track 6 ("Goin' Home"). SIDE TWO - plays excellently with a little crackle at the start of Track 1 ("Flight 505") and on Track 4 ("It's Not Easy").
NB. I must point out something of an oddity. Both SIDES of the disc carry a label for SIDE ONE.I don't remember ever noticing that before!
THE COVER. is GOOD, very good given its 53 years. There is a small tear on the rear (it may be susceptible to careful repair surgery). Plus, I am afraid that some heathen has made a squiggle in biro on the rear alongside the playing credits (see pix).
