INCREDIBALY RARE THIS IS THE RAREST PRESS (MONO) RARER THAN STEREO!!!!! THIS IS MEGA MEGA RARE WITH THE EARLIEST MOTHER STAMPERS ''1'' ''G'' ON BOTH SIDES!!! THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN THE 1ST OFF THE PRESS!!! (PLEASE DO NOT UNDERESTEMATE THE RARETY OF THIS PRESSING)!!!!!!

 Aftermath is the fourth UK and sixth US studio album by The Rolling Stones and was released in 1966. The album proved to be a major artistic breakthrough for The Rolling Stones in that it was the first full-length release by the band to exclusively feature Mick Jagger/Keith Richards compositions.

The album is also notable for its musical experimentation, with Brian Jones - possibly inspired by George Harrisons use of sitar on The Beatles' Rubber Soul - playing a variety of instruments which feature prominently in each track, including the sitar on "Paint It Black", and the dulcimer on "Lady Jane" and "I Am Waiting".

Once again, two editions of the album were released. The first release of Aftermath appeared in April of 1966 as a fourteen-track long-player, and is considered by many to be the definitive version. Issued between the non-LP single releases of "19th Nervous Breakdown" and "Paint It, Black", Aftermath proved a big smash, spending eight weeks atop the UK charts.

In the US however, fourteen tracks was considered too many. With a substituted cover art, the American edition of Aftermath, released that June, features a subtly re-shuffled running order that eliminates "Out Of Time", "Take It Or Leave It" and "What To Do" (all later released in the US), while replacing "Mother's Little Helper" with current #1 hit "Paint It, Black". Despite compromising producer Andrew Loog Oldham's and The Rolling Stones' intentions for the album, the revamped Aftermath shot to #2 in the US, eventually going platinum. In 2002, the US edition of Aftermath was ranked number 108

The vinyl

On initial visual inspection the vinyl still retains its original sheen from new!!! This lays perfectly flat on the turntable!!!! This is the original thicher and deeper grooved type of vinyl only found on original early pressings later pressings were much more flimsier and less robust. In very strong light surface marks\scratches can be seen. I have played this vinyl as usual and the audio is awesome, cristal clear and vibrant all of the way through, Please note i heard the odd static clicks or ticks here and there but (not) consistant throughout the audio. In my opinion I heard nothing major that would detract from the overall enjoyment of this awesome audio!!!! There were (no) signs of any grooveware or distortion during the play or any signs that this has been overplayed at all. Even between tracks perhapes the odd tick but background noise was minimal. I found the audio truly enjojable. I would class myself as highly critical Please look at my completed listings of record that i have sold of this calaber and you will see that i normally get it right! I heard (no) or at least no major background noise or crackle during the audio, I can't emphisise enougth how rare it is to find a Stones vinyl that is 41 years old and has not been overplayed! the audio is extreemely enjoyable all of the way through!!!!!! This plays with (no) jumps or skips Awesome!!!!

Please note! I always add this disclaimer! That I have given my honest opinion when describing the audio quality of this vinyl. and have played it through track for track.  Please allow for the odd static tick\clicks here and there (not) consistant through out the audio!!! Remember this is an original (not) a reissue that is 41 years old and would have been played on a system that is 41 years old!! Plkease look at my completed listings of records that i have sold of this calaber and you will see that i normally get it right!!!!!

The audio is clear and vibrant with the odd click here and there not consistant throughout the audio plays through with absolutely no jumps or skips !!!!!

The Labels,

These are the original ''unboxed'' DECCA labels with the familier groove!!!! In absolutely superbe condition near perfect with (no) nasty names written on them there is some spidering can only be seen in strong light!!!! (no) spindle ware the hole is perfectly round an excellent example rarely seen like this!!!!! Made in England is featured (only UK press) and k.t. tax code (only 1st press) In my opinion  this has not been overplayed!!!!

This is the original poly lined sleeve with (no) splits or tares just light general browning with age and light creasings but overall in super condition!!!! and original!!!!!

Printed by Robert Stace (original) usually seen with nasty names written on them and in a terrible state. (No) splits or tares !!!!  any creases there are can be clearly seen in photos. The corners are genrally square with minimal storageware . The rear is exceptionaly clean with only the lightest of ware\scuffing  there is stain spots (see photo) very light scuffing at the spine and the writing can be seen!!! (see photos)!!!!!!

In my opinion this very rare and sought after album rarest in (mono) makes this album even more desirable!!!!!! very enjoyable and one of the earliest of the press ''1'' ''g'' stampers unbelievably rare!!!!!!!
