A chance to own a rare original lovely 1st press Decca Holland MONO copy of the classic 1966 Rolling Stones lp Aftermath Cat No LK4786 indicating it is indeed Monaural.The song titles are in English on the cover and the track listing follows the original UK Decca release (see my other auction for a very rare 1966 Argentina Mono press with the USA London Records track variation).The mono mix of this first lp the Stones wrote entirely in house with no covers is THE one to own and this copy plays brilliantly letting the fantastically punchy original 1960s mono sound really strut it's stuff.It's a 50 (!) year old lp that's lived a little so of course there are signs of play,some wispy hairlines & scuffs.Playback wise there are some mild background ticks on 1 or 2 tracks but only for a second or 2 and mostly between the track run in of the songs.Certainly not enough to spoil the listeners enjoyment one bit.In summary a very nice 1960s press in well decent condition.I'm sure it's new owner will not be diappointedMost of these 1960s mono lp's i've encountered are pretty trashed..this one certainly isnt!! I play all the records i put up on Ebay on my classic Acoustic Research turntable and it always shows up any thing of concern..in this case nothing at all i'm glad to say.The Royal Blue & Silver labels have a darker 1- 1 1/2 cm stain near the centre where stickers have been removed succesfully i'm glad to say but it's merely cosmetic. The cover is very nice indeed and very clean for a 50 year old (!) item save for a faint '1' written in marker on the back-see photos.The spine is strong,and as i said it's a very nice example at a fair price.As always feel free to ask any questions and i'll get back to you as soon as possible.I'll ship this rare item anywhere in the known universe aka outside the UK at cost of £8.00.I always try to parcel records safely and as i like them to be when i'm buying them.Thanks for looking in.Cheers and greetings from Cityrocker.123 :)
