Description

ROLLING STONES: Beggars Banquet. UK 1st press 1968 Decca SKL.4955 Vinyl Stereo LP

The disc is in very good condition. It has not been played for about 30 years. There is some surface sound on the track run ins and quieter sections of some tracks which does not detract from the overall reproduction quality*. The gatefold cover shows some signs of storage/ring wear. Please see the photographs.  

*Records of this age however well stored will collect a certain amount of dust and specks of paper fibre from the inner sleeve. As far as possible I carefully remove any surface dust with a carbon fibre brush and lens cleaning cloth and then describe the condition of the disc after a test play. I have achieved impressive enhanced reproduction quality almost eliminating any surface noise on records of a similar age by a thorough wet clean with a solution of isopropyl alcohol and distilled water. 

This LP was test played on a Garrard 401 turntable with SME arm and Shure V15 cartridge/stylus with a tracking force of 1 gram.
