ROLLING STONES “GOAT’S HEAD SOUP” + INSERTS SUPERB 1973 ALBUM VG+ VG.

Please find below details of albums from an ongoing thinning out of my collection. This week is Rolling Stones week so please check out the excellent ones that I’ve listed.

I have cleaned them all carefully but they may benefit from a deeper clean from a professional machine.

I do my best to grade realistically. Because of the number of albums the gradings are usually visual unless otherwise specified.

I have really positive feedback and can be viewed as a trusted seller. Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any queries or if there are any problems. I package carefully and dispatch the day following the end of the auction.

I use Record Collector gradings for both vinyl and cover. Please make sure that you understand what they mean before you bid.

I'm not trying to make a killing on postage costs and am happy to combine postage up to a weight of 2kgs in the UK.

This one is the excellent Goat’s Head Soup by the Stones released in 1973. It comes with both inserts. It’s that potent mix of fabulous slower songs and great rockers and has the usual stellar cast of extra musicians like Bobby Keyes, Nicky Hopkins, Billy Preston etc. Mick Taylor was still guitarist at that point and has some wonderful moments.

The vinyl has some marking on tracks 1,2 and 3 of Side 2 but this doesn’t seem to effect playback at all. Overall it still sounds great and I would grade it as VG +.

The gatefold cover has accumulated quite a lot of marking over its 48 years and so I would therefore grade it as VG.

Overall, a strong, strong album with the Stones trademark sound of that period.
