The Rolling Stones released their second hits compilation "Hot Rocks 1964-1971" in December 1971 on London Records. The 21 tracks include most of the band's biggest hits up to that date. It was on the charts for nearly a year and is their best selling album of all time.

This copy (2PS 606/7) is from the first pressing and is in excellent condition especially considering it is 50-years-old. The cover still has most of its original factory shrink wrap attached and is easily VG+ as is the hype brochure. Please see the pictures but note the photo of the interior gatefold is from another copy. Both discs test played cleanly and are also VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. It was mastered by Lee Hulko at Sterling Sound in NYC and was pressed by H.V. Waddell Co. in Burbank, Calif. The Side One dead wax is etched XZAL 11017-W ? and stamped STERLING LH 2.

In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.

This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 50 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
