UK ROLLING STONES RECORDS (COC 59103) FIRST PRESSING (November 1974) OF "It's Only Rock 'N Roll"
GREAT COPY - FEW (if any) SIGNS OF PLAY AND DELIVERING IMMACULATE SOUND THROUGHOUT
Originally intended to be a half-live, half-studio production with one side featuring live performances from The Stones' European tour with the other side comprised of newly recorded cover versions of the band's favourite R&B songs.
Covers recorded included a take of Dobie Gray's "Drift Away", Shirley & Company's "Shame, Shame, Shame", and The Temptations' "Ain't Too Proud to Beg".
Soon the band began working on new ideas by Jagger/Richards and the original concept was scrapped in favour of an album with all-new material - the cover of "Ain't Too Proud to Beg" would be the only recording to make the cut.
It's Only Rock 'n Roll would mark the Stones' first effort in production since 'Their Satanic Majesties Request', and the first for Jagger and Richards under their pseudonym "The Glimmer Twins"

Clean, factory-fresh labels with little sign of use
VINYL Visual: NEAR MINT/EXCELLENT+
Just a few light brush marks from the card inner on Side Two otherwise, both sides shine like new - these marks have no audio impact
VINYL Audio: MINT-
My play-check at loud volume detected no major audio issues of note and the set plays beautifully throughout - to be very picky there is some light background surface most notable (but still light) between the tracks - a characteristic of this first pressing (as it always seems to be present) but absolutely nothing to worry about - this copy plays like-new
