HERE WE HAVE A SUPERB!!!! UK DECCA (SKL 5025) FIRST *STEREO* PRESSING (December 1969) OF THE STONES' TREMENDOUS "Let It Bleed" LP
PRESSED ON QUALITY HEAVYWEIGHT VINYL (very thick and chunky) WITH DEEP CUT GROOVES WHICH DELIVER ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING AUDIO!! (BEAUTIFUL DECCA LOUD CUT WITH TREMENDOUS DEPTH AND CLARITY!!)
THE ALBUM HAS THE FIRST ISSUE BLUE DECCA LABELS WITH THE UNBOXED DECCA LOGO AND THE FIRST PRESS MATRICES: XZAL - 9363 - P- 2W / XZAL - 9364 - P- 1W, WITH THE "JT" TAX CODE STAMPED ON BOTH RUN OFF GROOVES AND THE FIRST 1/1 MOTHER NUMBERS!!!!!!

THE LP IS HOUSED IN THE ORIGINAL FRONT LAMINATED SLEEVE WITH THE UNLAMINATED BACK "STEREO/MONO" INDICATOR HOLE AND COMES COMPLETE WITH THE ORIGINAL "LET IT BLEED", "THIS RECORD SHOULD BE PLAYED LOUD" BLUE INNER SLEEVE!!!

THIS REALLY IS A STUNNING UK FIRST *STEREO* PRESSING AND I THINK YOU WOULD BE HARD PRESSED TO FIND ONE BETTER!!!!


Mostly recorded without Brian Jones -- who died several months before its release (although he does play on two tracks) and was replaced by Mick Taylor (who also plays on just two songs) -- this extends the rock and blues feel of Beggars Banquet into slightly harder-rocking, more demonically sexual territory. The Stones were never as consistent on album as their main rivals, the Beatles, and Let It Bleed suffers from some rather perfunctory tracks, like "Monkey Man" and a countrified remake of the classic "Honky Tonk Woman" (here titled "Country Honk"). Yet some of the songs are among their very best, especially "Gimme Shelter," with its shimmering guitar lines and apocalyptic lyrics; the harmonica-driven "Midnight Rambler"; the druggy party ambience of the title track; and the stunning "You Can't Always Get What You Want," which was the Stones' "Hey Jude" of sorts, with its epic structure, horns, philosophical lyrics, and swelling choral vocals. "You Got the Silver" (Keith Richards' first lead vocal) and Robert Johnson's "Love in Vain," by contrast, were as close to the roots of acoustic down-home blues as the Stones ever got.

LABELS: The UNBOXED DECCA labels are in SUPERB condition!!! CLEAN and BRIGHT with NO unwanted marks/writing and only a couple of light spindle traces!!!!
VINYL Visual: Both surfaces have their original DEEP, almost LIKE-NEW, GLOSSY SHEEN and are virtually UNMARKED (there are the inevitable light hairlines caused by movement of the vinyl within its inner sleeve BUT NO OTHER MARKS!!). BEAUTIFUL VINYL!!!
VINYL Audio: SUPERB!! - CRYSTAL CLEAR, VERY SHARP and EXTREMELY STRONG!!!!! BEAUTIFUL DEPTH AND CLARITY TO THE SOUND!! There are NO scratches, NO jumps, NO sticks, barely ANY clicks/pops (hardly ANY!!!!) and NO surface noise!! The sound quality here is simply STUNNING!!! with NO groove-wear and NO distortion!!!! I would think this copy has only ever seen light play!! AMAZING!! Must be graded NEAR MINT for audio - the playback is pretty much FLAWLESS!!! SUPERB COPY AND THEY REALLY DO NOT COME MUCH BETTER THAN THIS!!!!
SLEEVE: The sleeve is also in SUPERB condition!! There is very little wear to the top and bottom edges and just a little 'feathering' to the opening edge. The spine (which is pinched at the top and bottom) displays ALL the text SHARP and CLEAR!! The surfaces are clean and the laminated front has a beautiful deep shine with very little 'rubbing'. LOVELY SLEEVE!!
INNER SLEEVE: The original inner is CLEAN, BRIGHT and UNMARKED with hardly any wear and NO splits/rips to any of the edges, just some inevitable creasing (see pics). The album is housed in a new inner sleeve and will be posted to you in this inner to prevent any 'knifing' damage to the blue inner during transit!!
