100% GENUINE COMPLETE UK PRESS.

Let It Bleed is the eighth British album by The Rolling Stones, released in December 1969 on Decca Records in the United Kingdom and London Records in the United States. Released shortly after the band's 1969 American Tour, it is the follow-up to 1968's Beggars Banquet and the last album by the band to feature Brian Jones as well as the first to feature Mick Taylor.

Released in December, Let It Bleed reached #1 in the UK (temporarily knocking The Beatles' Abbey Road out of the top slot) and #3 on the Billboard Top Pop Albums chart in the US, where it eventually went 2x platinum.

Although they had begun the recording of "You Can't Always Get What You Want" in May 1968, before Beggars Banquet had been released, recording for Let It Bleed began in earnest in February 1969 and would continue sporadically until October. Brian Jones performs on only two tracks, playing the autoharp on "You Got the Silver", and percussion on "Midnight Rambler". His replacement, Mick Taylor, plays guitar on two tracks, "Country Honk" and "Live With Me". Keith Richards, who had already shared vocal duties with Mick Jagger on "Connection", "Something Happened to Me Yesterday" and "Salt of the Earth", sang his first solo lead vocal on a Rolling Stones recording with "You Got the Silver".

The cover displays a surreal sculpture designed by Robert Brownjohn. The image consists of the Let It Bleed record being played by the tone-arm of an antique phonograph, and a record-changer spindle supporting several items stacked on a plate in place of a stack of records: a tape canister labelled Stones - Let It Bleed, a clock face, a pizza, a tyre and a cake with elaborate icing topped by figurines representing the band. The cake parts of the construction were prepared by then-unknown cookery writer Delia Smith. The reverse of the LP sleeve shows the same "record-stack" assemblage in a state of disarray. The artwork was inspired by the working title of the album, Automatic Changer.

Let It Bleed is the second of the Stones' run of four studio LPs that are generally regarded as among their greatest achievements artistically, the other three albums being Beggars Banquet (1968), Sticky Fingers (1971) and Exile on Main Street (1972).

ALBUM PLAYED FOR AUDIO GRADING:

Yes – Fantastic! - MINT sound quality throughout!

This great record plays up to the visual and audio grading and beyond, with stunning clear sound from this original 1st press vinyl. This UNPLAYED vinyl has sensational audio from start to finish.

Let It Bleed is a complex and varied collection of music, and is also a relatively sensitive piece of vinyl, and hard to find in clear audio condition. Worn copies can have a lot of surface sound even on musically complex and busy tracks like 'Gimme Shelter.' This pressing has strong undistorted audio, with super clear QUALITY sound.

Superb sound, every track has been tested and I could find no obvious sound blemishes. Barely any detectable light occasional static. Wonderful TOP audio, there is NO distortion, NO sticks or jumps what so ever, and virtual silence between the tracks. There is certainly no dominant  interference, and NO loud pops or clicks or distortion anywhere. It really sounds great and plays with great sound separation and clarity!

This vinyl is an absolute gem! A super clear pressing of Let It Bleed. Great music with great clarity, and virtually impossible to find with this type of sound. In fact this gleaming press would be hard to ever better. The music jumps out, with definition and clarity. I'll give a detailed account below:

Beginning with the iconic 'Gimme Shelter,' the music comes in with crystal clear audio, no pops or clicks and nice clean run ins. There is barely any detectable static at all. Moving into the wonderful 'Love In Vain', which demonstrates The Stones incredible subtle production layering, even in seemingly simple track like this, with notes and effects that are usually lost on most even relatively played vinyls. Here the audio sings out with amazing clarity. Simply astounding audio for such a paired down track.

'Country Honk', a real test on this  album due to its many layered sections sings out with barely any detectable in the run ins and quiet areas. Great music with great clarity, and so hard to find with this type of sound. There is a static tic between the two tracks but not during the music. Still no pops or clicks during the music, and not a hint of distortion. In fact I may as well confirm now that there is not a hint of distortion anywhere on this great vinyl, nothing like it. The music is just flawless.

The massive 'Live With Me' plays with crystal clear sound, and the instrumental section layered again, sounds great. Superb clear bright sound, amazing, I could barely detect any background static at all, which maintains the very high standard of this entire vinyl. Rounding off side 1. with 'Let It Bleed' , this incredible track just sounds amazing. Crystal clear sound, no pops or clicks, no interference. Amazing.

Side 2. comes in with the great 'Midnight Rambler,' following super clear run ins, barely any detectable static, and then the audio is just superb, with no pops or clicks and extremely clear vocal layering. Just amazing bright, clear, flawless audio. 'You Got The Silver', another delicate track also sings out, with great clarity and an amazing lack of surface sound. Another track often blighted with loud pops, clicks, buzzing crackle and distortion, but not here. The quiet intro plays superbly. There is barely any detectable light static during the first few seconds and a couple of very light tics, but these are not intrusive, barely audible in fact. When the vocals come in the quiet areas are incredibly clear. A superb crystal clear playing track.

'Monkey Man' sounds just amazing, it just sounds so clear. All the way through every track plays with incredible definition. Every note and every bar of Keith's guitar are outstanding. The complex arrangements in 'You Cant Always Get What You Want'  play so well, with astounding audio precision. In the amazing London Bach Choir intro, the audio is just sensational. Crystal clear, absolutely minimal static, and then when the Jagger intro starts its even clearer, and the music is still so quiet.

This is an incredible performance. I've never heard a stereo 1st pressing of Let It Bleed sound so clear. If fact this whole vinyl is truly outstanding. A total lack of pops, clicks, interference, and certainly no distortion anywhere on this great pressing, makes this a truly incredible collectable press of this great record. Every sound and note is absolutely crystal clear. The music jumps out, with incredible definition and clarity, the vocals which come through with tremendous power. The tonal quality and ultra clean quality make this a sensational pressing. With the clear and extra loud First cut Stereo engineering giving the audio a vibrant sound which cannot be beaten. Staggering first (stereo) mix, unlike the re-issues which lack the impact. A great all round example of this great vinyl.

A truly stunning all round example of this classic vinyl. This is a tremendous Audio pleasure and I would have to give the Audio a full NEAR MINT to MINT grading. It's pretty much perfect.

THE RECORD - VISUAL GRADING

This is a superb piece of glossy vinyl, and a really thick pressing. Deep clear grooves that can only be found on the original pressings, this vinyl is in UNPLAYED condition and has not bene played since new. The record has great shine, almost entirely unmarked in strong daylight. Inspected under a spot light it still looks great, with a few ultra light paper removal marks, and whispy lines.

This is a really stunning, archival example.

Unbelievable to think this record is over 40 years old and unbelievable to think that there are ANY pressings of Let It Bleed that look this clean!

Graded at NEAR MINT to MINT.

VINYL TESTED FOR ANY SIGNS OF WARPING: Yes, NONE visible what so ever when tested be sight and on a moving turntable.

THE LABELS

Splendid deeply coloured attractive examples.  No wear around the hole areas, with all ink uneroded and fully intact. There are NO spindle traces to be found. This still fits very tightly around the record spindle. A stunning UNPLAYED record.

Graded at MINT.

COVER

Comes with original UK 'pinched ends' sleeve,  in stunning condition.

This is a great example of the brilliant LET IT BLEED cover. Laminated on the front only, the unlaminated rear is in stunning condition. These covers rarely faired well, usually having heavy ring wear and tears, with a lot of yellowing to the background. Not this one! It has no tears or splits, again very hard to find.

It has virtually no rubbing to the corners, and none to the spine, which is largely square and true, with clearly defined 'pinched ends', with all the text complete in tact. Unbelievable and impossibly rare like this, the spine ends are clearly pinched, only found on the early manufactured covers!

The rear cover has virtually no discolouration and no fading near the spine (clearly shown in the images) It also has NO ring wear, stains, writing, tears or sticker marks, and virtually no creasing. Whilst there is virtually no ring wear, there is the impression on the vinyl,  some very faint handling marks and a very slight bend to the bottom corner, but any imperfections are very slight.

A wonderful original first press example and extremely rare in this condition

THE INNER

An extreme rarity, this press comes with Original UK DECCA STEREO, MADE IN ENGLAND Blue and white paper Inner sleeve, in great CONDITION. These inners are so hard to find in anything like decent condition.

Poly lined, these thin inners were usually ripped and discarded. Not this one! Great quality, this would be hard to better. No tears, splits or stains. No ring wear and not even an impression of the record. (well just the very faintest impression) The vinyl will of course come in a replacement plain white inner to protect the original.

EXCELLENT PLUS.

POSTER INSERT

The Record comes with the Original press insert poster in MINT condition. Unbelievably it comes with No rips, tears, pin holes or blue tac marks. No light creasing or light wear along the centre folds.

This is the original poster for the 1st stereo press, on light weight  paper, with the picture of The Stones and the 'Poster designed by Victor Kahn', text, only found on 1st pressings posters.

CLASSIC UK R&B / ROCK album by THE ROLLING STONES

RARITY

It is getting harder and harder to find good examples of early UK pressings of Let It Bleed, and very hard if not almost impossible examples that are complete and intact with all the original parts. Finding an original Rolling Stones vinyl in unplayed condition makes this a one off and an extremely rarity.

The cover is almost impossible to find without serious wear, even modestly worn examples are scarce! 1st pressings in great condition are impossibly rare and this is a stunning all round complete example. A great all round piece with TOP AUDIO throughout! A great original and ultra rare inner sleeve, and a great original poster. Superb!! A rare pressing with perfect stereo record labels. I find it hard to believe that this could ever be bettered.

SCRUPULOUS EXAMINATION and TESTING:

All our records are play tested on highly sensitive equipment to ensure the sound quality and accuracy of description. We aim to give a precise and concise description of the sound, pointing out the slightest defect so that you know exactly what you are buying. We aim to describe all records as accurately as possible, and offer a full refund on return if for any reason you are not completely happy with the item description.

VINYL SOUND - PLEASE NOTE:

Highest quality vinyl with clear sound is rare, and what we always aim for. We only sell records that play with TOP AUDIO performance; super clear sound uninterrupted by hiss or other interference. Even with the cleanest pressing you will find occasional static or occasional light tics during playback, caused by a build of dust in the grooves. This is clearly different from the distortion, loud pops, repeating tics or clicks that are found on heavily played and worn pieces of vinyl. Any static build up will reduce when played, and we advise a light clean between plays for optimal performance.
