Description

Here is another selection from a collection of original 50s/60s LPs.

This is the UK original, unboxed red Decca label, mono version of The Rolling Stones "No 2" LP

Again, I shall assume if you are reading this then you know what you are looking at, so straight to the relevant details.

Matrix numbers:

Side 1: XARL - 6619 - 2A. "3" and "D" at 8 o'clock, "U" and "A" at 2 o'clock 

Side 2: XARL - 6620 - 2A. "3" and "D" at 10 o'clock. "D" and "Q" at 4 o'clock

The sleeve I would say is VG+. The laminate is intact to the front. There are some shallow creases. The opening shows some very mild wear. The back has some age-related browning, with a 2cm round brown mark to the bottom right. The flipback is intact. The spine is somewhat flattened, but it is intact and all clearly readable. No seam splits or tears. Very mild ringwear to front. Considering the rather flimsy card these were made of, this is not excessive by any means.

The labels are unboxed, red, and deep-grooved. They have some spindle traces, but are very clean with no stickers/marks/writing. 

The vinyl, I opine, is visually excellent. It retains a lustrous finish. Side 1 has a couple of very faint hairlines. Side 2 also has a couple of hairlines, and a very faint semi-circular scratch on track 1. I have played the album all the way through: I heard 2 clicks on one track, and noted some slight distortion during "Under The Boardwalk", in the "S" sounds.

The record will be very securely packed in a box mailer with lots of extra padding.
