Early issue, Red with silver print, unboxed Decca label.

XARL 6271-2A  /   XARL 6272-4A    matrix numbers.

“Recording first published 1964” label text – Decca changed to the “P” symbol and year in 1965.

“I Need You Baby”  track title listed on both label and back cover.   

4 minute version of “Tell Me”.

Front laminated sleeve.

Original “Handling / Playing” poly-lined inner bag.

Nice LOUD cut!

CONDITION:       I strive to provide an accurate and honest appraisal of condition.  It’s in my best interests to do so.  I WANT YOU TO COME BACK!    All records are checked in good light and play tested at a loud volume (unless described as sealed, brand new or stated otherwise).   All used records are cleaned using a Moth vacuum record cleaning machine prior to play testing.    STRICT  U.K. MAGAZINE  'RECORD COLLECTOR'  GRADING SYSTEM USED.

Playing condition is graded as EX-.    Album plays really well.  Little lessening in sound quality.   Occasional low-level surface noise – nothing that in anyway dominates the original sound recording.   .  Occasional audible pops/light clicks, only really noticeable in between tracks.     NO loud obtrusive crackle.     NO distortion.    NO jumps.    NO sticking.  

Visually the vinyl is EX-.     Several surface-only marks. None that feel to the touch.   Vinyl looks lovely and clean and still retains its original sheen.  

Labels are EX-.    Spindle marks evident.    All text perfectly readable.    NO writing.   NO stickers.

Cover grades as GOOD.     Top and bottom has been repaired with tape.    3 or 4 areas on the front where the laminate has clearly whitened.     Small creases to the laminate.     Discolouration on the back.     All spine text still readable.      NO rips/tears.    NO stickers.

MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint

EXCELLENT (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG) The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratches. Normal wear and tear on the cover and extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable

GOOD (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeable deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and or deface

POOR (P) The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing

BAD (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken and is only of use as a collection filler
