ROLLING STONES - No.2 - RARE ORIGINAL 1965 DECCA MONO EXCELLENT CONDITION:   This is your chance to bid on this classic vinyl album by THE ROLLING STONES.           For sale here is the 1965 UK MONO FIRST PRESSING on the red DECCA label of the band's second album, "No.2".

  • This is an original 1965 UK pressing.
  • The label states "MADE IN ENGLAND".
  • It has the early matrix numbers.
  • It is pressed on the thick vinyl. 
  • The front laminated sleeve is also in EXCELLENT condition with NICE SHARP EDGES with clear spine text.
  • It has the ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Grooved' & "unboxed" DECCA label.  
ALTHOUGH THIS WAS A VERY POPULAR ALBUM THAT SOLD IN HUGE NUMBERS IT IS EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND IN THIS CONDITION. YOU WILL BE SERIOUSLY PUSHED TO FIND ANOTHER ONE AS GOOD AS THIS.                 
  • WHAT MAKES THIS LP SPECIAL IS THAT IT IS THE EARLY 1ST  MONO PRESSING. 
  • IT CARRIES THE 1A & 2A MATRIX NUMBERS. 
  • WHAT IS MORE IS THAT THIS LP IS IN GREAT CONDITION - IT CLEARLY HASN'T BEEN PLAYED MUCH AT ALL!    
THIS IS THE MONO VERSION - HOW IT WAS MEANT TO BE HEARD !!       The stamped matrix numbers are as follows: Side 1: XARL-6619-1A  Side 2: XARL -6620-2A                                 THIS IS A FABULOUS EXAMPLE OF AN ORIGINAL EARLY UK PRESSING OF THIS CLASSIC ALBUM. YOU WILL BE HARD PRESSED TO FIND A BETTER EXAMPLE.                       This is complete with the original Decca poly lined record sleeve. The laminated front only cover is in great condition with only minimal wear.   Side 1:

  • Still bright & shiny - amazing for a record that is 50 years old!  
  • There are some very light surface marks but you will be hard pressed to find a better  copy.                
LABELS: The red Decca labels are in excellent condition.
  • The labels are grooved which denotes the early pressing.
  • They are free of writing.
  • There are some signs of wear & spindle marks.                                                                                                       
INNER SLEEVE: The original polythene lined inner sleeve is in excellent condition.
  • There is some creasing but it is still in great condition.
  • The sleeve states "Made in England" & "Foreign Patents pending".
SLEEVE: The sleeve is in excellent condition. It looks nice & flat. There are no rips & no writing on it.
  • The front cover has very shiny laminate.
  • The opening edge is still fairly sharp & straight.
  • There is the slightest hint of an impression where the record has sat in the sleeve but you have to hold the sleeve at a certain angle to see it on the front cover.
  • There are a few areas where the laminate has lifted.
  • It was printed in England by James Upton Ltd.    
  • The unlaminated back of the cover is in great condition. It is still nice & white compared to many other sixties sleeves. There are some minor signs of grubbiness/ ageing.
  • The spine is in exceptional condition with all the text clearly visible.
  • Very minor edge & corner wear in places.
