This is the rare 'transitional' pasted cover issue of 'The Rolling Stones No.2' This rare 1st press is complete with the very earliest 1A//1A matrix. Only a tiny number of these sleeves exist as they were created when the decision was made to change the 'blind man' text. There were some already printed, so they chose to paste a sheet of paper without the offensive text over the back cover. It is particularly unusual to find the very earliest 1A//1A press with this transitional sleeve but this record came direct from the original owner who bought it new over 30 years ago.

The record is in Very Good condition. The heavy vinyl has a bright gloss with a few light marks. The red grooved Unboxed Decca label is bold and clean with light spindle wear. On playing the sound is warm, rich and very clear. There is some light background noise but the voices and backing are still bold and bright. The record is complete with the original 'handling' polylined inner sleeve.

The rare pasted laminated sleeve is in Very Good++ condition. The front cover image is extremely bold, there is just a little laminate lift in places and a tiny pinhole in the corner. There is only very light edge wear and a little corner wear. The pasted sheet is exceptionally bright with clear text. The whole cover still feels extremely solid and the spine is firm with clear text.
