This is the rare UK 1st press of No.2 by The Rolling Stones. This earliest press has the rare 1A//1A matrix, the heavy original 60's vinyl and the original handling inner sleeve. The vinyl is complete with the 1st press James Upton 'blind man' laminated sleeve.
The vinyl is in Excellent condition. Both sides have the most sensational mirrored gloss, there are no signs of heavy play or any wear to the grooves at all. There is a very light mark on Side 1 and a couple of very light wispy hairlines, but these are insignificant, every track gleams. The original plain red grooved Decca labels are exceptionally bright and completely clean. The colour is solid and unworn, the text is sharp and there is just the slightest spindle wear.
The sound quality is Excellent. The vinyl lies completely flat on the turntable and the sound is exceptionally rich and warm. Superb clarity and audio separation from start to finish. Just a few moments of very light background noise but certainly nothing that spoils the enjoyment of this album at any point.
The sleeve is in Very Good condition. The image is sharp, the text is clear and the laminate has a superb mirrorlike shine. There is some laminate lift in the corners and a few light creases. The back has a little discolouration and some ticks on the tracks but it is very bright and the text is sharp. The whole cover still feels solid.
