Description

THE ROLLING STONES
THE ROLLING STONES

Original 2nd issue vinyl LP, with rare sleeve & label tracklisting: "Mona"; later issues listed " I Need You Baby".  Sleeve and label "Can I Get A Witness" is credited to "E & B Holland, Bozier" which should read "Dozier". Also, on the sleeve, instead of "You Can make It If You Try" it reads "You Can Make It You Try". "Honest, I Do" is not credited to Jimmy Reed - all of these errors were quickly corrected in subsequent issues. This is an ultra rare, very early issue, released immediately after the very 1st pressings, which featured the 2 minute 52 second version of "Tell Me".

Year of release - 1964

Made in UK

Decca Records - LK.4605 (red grooved labels with unboxed Decca logo)

Matrix codes:

Side 1: XARL- 6271-2A

Side 2 : XARL- 6272-3A

Condition:

Vinyl/Labels : V. Good +
Some light, non-feelable hairlines, mainly visible under harsh light. There is a lovely sheen to the vinyl, one of the nicest copies I have ever seen of this pressing. It plays to an Excellent standard, a very enjoyable listen with no major faults, music powerful and clear. Side 1 label has the previous owner's name written on it.

Laminated Flipback Sleeve/correct Decca handling info inner  : Good /VG+
Some ring wear and creasing to the laminate, however it still looks very respectable - all text, graphics and colours sharp and strong. There is some discolouration to the rear sleeve, but otherwise is fine.  The original poly-lined inner has a couple of corner creases, but is nice and clean.

Important Information:
Postage & Packaging
Records are packaged safely using strong stiff cardboard and extra bubble wrap to ensure they arrive in the same condition as in my description. I also remove record from outer sleeve and original inner sleeves, to prevent seam splits. I am a record collector myself and understand the importance of safe packaging to ensure safe delivery.
:Please note:
Postage prices will be greatly reduced if buying more than one record. In fact, if UK buyers buy three LPs, the postage is the same price as for posting one LP.  Postage prices within the UK will be £4.00 when the weight is less than 1kg (usually three vinyl albums) Over 1kg and up to 2kg the postage goes up to £6.00 (Usually six vinyl albums) which is a very good postage deal and should encourage vinyl collectors to check my other items to potentially save a lot of money using combined postage for multiple items.
Please be aware however, I need a steady cash flow to keep my ebay site stocked with goodies, so if there is a big time gap between records that you wish to buy from me, I would appreciate you pay for the first purchase(s) and let me know if you are planning on bidding on more, at a later date. Then I can invoice you with the reduced/combined postage costs, once you have finished bidding.
Overseas buyers can also expect a much reduced rate when combining postage.
Good luck and happy bidding!
Prompt payment is much appreciated. Please pay within 3 days of auction ending.
Postage prices are for Royal Mail 1st Class/International Standard. Overseas buyers must be willing to pay for items to be tracked if the value is over £20.00, and will be invoiced accordingly.
