Description

ROLLING STONES STICKY FINGERS 1971 NOT PROMOTONE 1ST UK PRESS ZIP A3B4 COC59100.

Rare and iconic original 1st UK pressing/issue of the classic Rolling Stones LP “Sticky Fingers”

Comes in original Andy Warhol designed gimmick sleeve with working (semi working in this case) zipper sleeve.

A3/B4 matrix endings, “TML Rolling Stones Records” hand etched on both sides, catalogue number COC59100 and no “Promotone NV” credit on labels.

Condition:

Vinyl - the vinyl grades a strong VG+. It has lots of light hairline/sleeve removal marks when viewed under strong light and a couple of other scuffs/scratches. None of these can be felt with a nail. It’s been fully play tested and is very enjoyable indeed. It does have some light background noise mostly noticeable on the run ins, spaces between tracks and some of the quieter passages. It can be heard over the songs “wild horses” and “You Gotta move” although this certainly didn’t overpower the music in any way. Side 2 is better again and grades EX. VG+ overall and a decent enough listening copy.

Labels are free from writing, heavy spindle marks and the centre hole remains tight.

Sleeve - The iconic sleeve for this grades as EX with very little wear. No writing, splits, etc. The zipper moves but tends to get stuck halfway down. This is because one of the teeth on the zipper has broken off. (See photos)

The original plain poly lined inner bag is EX

The single sheet insert is excellent with no creases, major discolouration, writing, etc.
