ROLLING STONES STICKY FINGERS VINYL LP WORKING METAL ZIPPER ANDY WARHOL COVER
THE ROLLING STONES STICKY FINGERS CLASSIC ALBUM COVER, with the desirable Classic Stones RED TONGUE LOGO logo AND a photo (#4) of the band goofing in the studio on the reverse.
There are literally a hundred or so variations, printings & re-printings of this classic album cover with the LP records issued accordingly. There are multiple imprints indicating this as a 1971 production. This issue is additionally identified LP CUN 59100 L which sources to a 1981 production from Greece. It has the fold able belt/cover above the zipper that bends at the perforation (see photos #6-7) to expose the Andy Warhol IDENTIFIER (photo #8) & art work (photo #9) enclosed beneath the functioning "real metal" zipper.
As to the items in this offer being identified as four, there's the 1) protective record jacket, 2) the two sided record (A & B), 3) the red two sided promo and, 4) the three piece album cover. The back cover of the album has the back side jeans art and the Warhol art is on a factory laminated third sheet. That Warhol sheet is adhered to the inside of the back of the record jacket and yields the inside protective sheet of the record compartment (photo #9).
The vinyl stereo LP original is by EMI Productions, Ltd.and it has a scratch on the "A" side (see photo #12). The key to this offer is not the vinyl record, it's the classic art work and Rock & Roll vibes elicited by the cover art, the promotional inclusions and the Warhol Art Work. Let's face it, how many 33-1/3 record players are used when the CD version produces far superior music quality?
In the last 365 days, there have been 1,592 sales of this cover art sold by 958 eBay sellers. The critical sales point (average sales price is $54.83 with $6.52 shipping) is the authentic zipper, the red logo and the Warhol association along with the condition of the album cover. This album cover is in good shape and the metal zipper "calling card" with the factory perforated belt buckle area (photo 6) are in very good condition.
