This is a great opportunity to grab a bargain today and own this classic album for a fraction of the price of others for sale on the market.
This is a very early 1st UK MONO pressing with 2A/3A matrix.
VINYL: It has generally held its original gloss and sheen very well. It has the usual superficial hairline marks (under strong light), that are typical for records of its age. They are all non-feelable and do not cause any issues. On very close inspection, there is a very slight wobble on the record as it turns, but this does not affect the playback in any way. There is the usual light warm age related crackle on the run-in and between songs but as soon as the music kicks in, it disappears. This is a great copy that sounds great considering it is over 55 years old.
LABEL: The classic Decca red and silver 'ear' labels are in excellent condition. They are both free from any writing or marks. The K/T tax code is clearly visible on both sides.
It comes with the original Decca inner sleeve.
SLEEVE: The original flipback sleeve is all in one piece with no rips or tears. The laminated front cover maintains its sheen and, despite the slight creases, the striking image of the band still looks bold and vibrant. The back cover looks a bit worn and tired with some faded writing on the top left hand corner, some age related discolouration and a few minor scuffs (see pictures). The spine remains in tact and the writing is still clear. Despite the few minor issues, I am still happy to grade it as VG because the issues are all fairly superficial.
This record has been play tested, honestly described and carefully graded. This is not a perfect collector's item but it still looks and sounds great for its considerable age.
