THE ROLLING STONES 'STICKY FINGERS' 1971 FIRST PRESS .

PLEASE NOTE: THIS ISN'T AN ARCHIVE/TOP CLASS COPY SO IF THAT IS WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING PLEASE DON'T BUY THIS.

This is a well played and not very well looked after copy. However it plays pretty well thoughout except for a quick 'skip' just after the start of 'Brown Sugar' 

Pressed in the UK and released on Rolling Stones Records COC 59100.

Side 1: COC 59100 A3 (Stamped)  T.M.L. ROLLING STONES RECORDS  (Hand etched).

Side 2: COC 59100 B3 (Stamped)  T.M.L. ROLLING STONES RECORDS  (Hand etched).

NO 'A Promotone NV Record' on the label.

Play grades across both sides as Good+ to EX in places.

Play graded on a Pro-Ject Essentials III Bluetooth deck fitted with an Ortofon OM10 cartridge, an Acrylic turntable mat & a Pro-ject 'Clamp-It' record clamp, sent through a Naim Mu-So QB2 Wireless speaker system. 

This has been played a lot and has plenty of mainly quite light but also visible scratches (see below). However on both sides all musical and vocal passages play clearly & brightly with no signs of groove wear.

Other than the 'skip' mentioned above there are no more sticks or jumps. There are no repeating clicks or tics however there is moderate crackle in some of the quieter places (see below) and between tracks.

'Wild Horses', 'You Gotta Move', 'I Got The Blues', 'Sister Morphine' and 'Moonlight Mile' are the tracks that have moderate crackle across half or more of the track.

When tilted under normal lighting both both sides do have quite a lot of mainly light scratches/surface marks many of which are several cms. long. There is a 3cm. plainly visible scratch at about 8 o'clock on side 1.

When tilted under halogen lights there are more short, light marks visible. 

Sleeve grades as VG-.

The front section is open at the top and bottom with the Andy Warhol photo having a small (1cm. x 1cm.) patch of damage where it sits behind the zip (quite common apparently).

Has a working zip which is detached on one side but looks as if it could be easily re-attached (see photos).

There is a 14cm. split from the top and down the left side of the sleeve, as well as a few small surface score marks just above the centre on the back. There is some edge wear as well.

The insert grades as VG+.

Inner sleeve grades as EX.

I USE RECORD COLLECTOR GRADINGS AND USE A +/- WHERE I FEEL THAT IT'S APPROPRIATE.

I dispatch records in brand new, bought in mailers designed for the process. Before placing in the mailer I take LPs out of the sleeve place both in a polysleeve and between two card stiffeners and if there is a picture sleeve I place the LP in a plain sleeve to prevent knifing of the picture sleeve. [all this costs £0.80/single LP].

I normally ship within 1/2 working days of receipt of payment.

United Kingdom shipments should arrive in 2-5 business days from date of shipping.
