You are viewing my rarely seen 12" vinyl album from 1967 entitled, 'THEIR SATANIC MAJESTIES REQUEST' recorded by THE ROLLING STONES. This is a UK Pressing.
Released on the DECCA label, with reference number TXL 103, this is the rare MONO version that has the UNBOXED DECCA label on the blue centre label and has the matrix numbers of ARL-8126-1P (Side One) and ARL-8127-P1 (Side Two). This is a First Issue pressing.
Finally, this is the rarer 3D front cover and is the gatefold sleeve version. It is supplied with the original red and white coloured inner sleeve.
"Their Satanic Majesties Request is the sixth British studio album by The Rolling Stones, released on 8 December 1967 by Decca Records. Its title is a play on the "Her Britannic Majesty requests and requires..." text that appears inside a British passport.
Without a doubt, no Rolling Stones album — and, indeed, very few rock albums from any era — split critical opinion as much as this Rolling Stones' psychedelic outing. Many dismiss the record as sub-Sgt. Pepper posturing; others confess, if only in private, to a fascination with the album's inventive arrangements, which incorporated some African rhythms, Mellotrons, and full orchestration. Never before or since did the Stones take so many chances in the studio."
The Rolling Stones line up at the time of this recording comprised of: Mick Jagger, Brian Jones, Charlie Watts, Keith Richards and Bill Wyman.

The album itself is in very good condition. Both sides of the record are bright and glossy however there are a number visible surface marks. It plays clearly and there are no sticks or jumps although there is some background noise, especially on the quieter parts of the album. There are a number of noticeable spindle marks. I have no hesitation in grading this album as being VG on both sides. Please note that this album is not in mint condition, it looks good and plays well but there are some visible surface marks.
This is the rarer 3D album cover that is printed by ROBERT STACE. It is bright, clean and remains in excellent condition. As the photograph shows, the spine remains complete without any creases or tears. There is however some wear to the bottom right edge that I have tried to show in the photograph. The four corners all look to be fine with no noticeable 'dinks'. The maze on the inside of the gatefold cover is clean and free of any marks (visible in the photograph). I grade this album cover EX.
The rarely seen original paper inner sleeve is in super condition. There is some wear to the bottom edge and some general creasing, but it remains intact and clean. I grade the inner sleeve as EX.
This vinyl record will be posted in a top quality cruciform style record mailer.
