Description
A very unusual and cool custom tongue-shaped Italian platinum record award for the Rolling Stones 2002 compilation Forty Licks, presented to a member of their management team at the time. The award is made of white plexiglass, with the album artwork silkscreened, and a mounted CD with a screwed on clear plexiglass cover, silkscreened with the Virgin Music logo and Italian flag. Mounted 3-D lettering proclaims "It's Platinum! To " and then the recipient's name. For their privacy, we have blurred out the name on the photo here, but of course it's on the original award. There are two holes at the top edge so it can be hung.
The award is completely original and in excellent condition with a slight scratch on the surface at the right edge. Measures approximately 12 1/2 x 16". Guaranteed authentic with no time limit. See our other awards from the same collection.
