Description
Absolutely MINT looking import LP. The owner says this was a gift in the 1960's, was misfiled, and was never played. The label is spotless on both sides. VG+ jacket. "The Rolling Stones." Made in England. Decca FFRR mono (the original recordings were not made in stereo) LP #LK 4605. 1964. Includes: Route 66; I Just Want to Make Love To You; Honest I Do; I Need You Baby; Now I've Got a Witness; Little by Little; I'm a King Bee; Carol; Tell Me; Can I Get a Witness; You Can Make It If You Try; Walking the Dog.
If played, record was well cared for (see below). Very high gloss front jacket is VG++. Rear jacket looks Mint- except for one nick and 3 areas of ring wear and manufacturer-installed Scotch tape on right side/spine to keep the 2 parts of the jacket together. The inner sleeve is soft plastic inside paper; text on paper on one side only & is about record care.
Part of an audiophile's large classical & rock LP collection being completely sold. Owner took greatest care of his LPs, always using the highest-audiophile-quality, best-calibrated turntables (Linn Sondek and Goldmund) and tone arms (Koetsu arm and cartridge; Goldmund arm and Clearaudio cartridge). Styli were regularly checked and replaced. All LPs stored vertically in climate-controlled, smoke-free home since original purchase.
From our own collection ("Paul’s collection"). A second one, "Ray’s collection," will soon be for sale. I am not a professional dealer but have tried to describe accurately. Records are visually graded. Paul's collection has been played only by the owner, ensuring consistent care. Dozens of previous LP buyers agreed our LP's seemed Mint as described even if already played.
Please see my excellent feedback from very satisfied LP buyers. Satisfaction guaranteed. If you have any questions, please e-mail me before placing your bid.

On May-17-06 at 23:56:33 PDT, seller added the following information:Photo caption on rear cover misspells a name as "KEITH RICHARD."
Besides the stamper/matrix #s given in the replies to questions elsewhere in the listing, there are other hard/impossible-to-read marks in the deadwax. 1/4 way around from the XARL number on Side 1 is a "1". (The XARL mark is next to the bottom of the label -- at 6 o'clock on the dial. The "1" is at 9 o'clock. Two other, very light, marks are at 12 o'clock (perhaps a "J7") & just above 3 o'clock (perhaps "C 11"). On Side 2 also, the XARL mark is at 6 o'clock. This side has 2 "extra" marks: 1/4 inch to the left of the XARL mark is an "A", and 1/2 inch left of that is what looks like "S11".
On May-18-06 at 16:44:45 PDT, seller added the following information: CLARIFICATION: I had forgotten that "Keith Richard" is how his name was spelled on all Stones albums & song credits in the 1960's. I don't remember why the spelling was changed (by 1975's "Metamorphosis," if not sooner) -- unless it was because so many people were mispronouncing it as "Richards." (Although Sally Field & Christopher Reeve never added an "s" to their names.) But it's not a "mistake" on this album.price rating
