Description

This limited edition box set was released by Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs (MFSL) and captures The Rolling Stones at their finest.  If you are looking at this add, you should know about:


Original Master Tapes used as the Source 

Half Speed Mastering to cut the Laquer 

JVC Super Vinyl to create each LP

The Rolling Stones Collection Box Set was the one of the most successful releases that MFSL ever had and in many minds, represents the one of the best things that the firm ever did.  From the MFSL Website:


"Based on the (Beatles) Collection's enormous success, Mobile Fidelity follows...in 1984 with The Rolling Stones, a collection of 11 OMR LPs which includes an art book with original album cover graphics and exclusive interviews with the original producers and recording engineers. All three collections meet with critical acclaim and are destined to increase in value as collectors' items."


The Serial Number on the set is very low - #2954.  As such, these are LPs were among the first stamped by the MFSL Pressing Plant in Sebastapol.  Over 10,000 were pressed. Please see the photograph below of the Serial Number Plate on the inside face of the front door.

Each LP has never been played - no scuffs, scratches or spindle marks.  Each Jackets is in "mint" condition - no seam splits, corner dings or creases. The Box Set is in "mint" condition - no dings, scratches or scuffs.


The MFSL Geo Disc is also included - it has never been used.  The MFSL Booklet with the original LP Cover Art has never been handled with the bare human hand - no creases or prints.


Note that a sealed version of the Rolling Stones Box Set sold on eBay for $3050 (Item #4009388668).  For a collector that is looking for a Box Set in the same condition that will be actually played and not simply placed on a shelf, this is The Opportunity.
