Description
THIS IS AN AUCTION FOR THE LP BY THE ROLLING STONES ENTITLED "THROUGH THE PAST DARKLY VOL 2" RELEASED BY DECCA RECORDS IN THE UK CAT NO LK 5019. THIS IS A SUPERB EARLY MONO PRESS WITH MATRIX NUMBERS OF XARL 9067-P-IA AND XARL 9068-P-3A AND EARLY MOTHER STAMPERS OF 1GG AND 1H. THE CONDITION OF THE RECORD IS SUPERB THROUGHOUT.
THE VINYL IS IN NEAR MINT CONDITION WITH A LOVELY DEEP SHEEN AND LOOKS BARELY PLAYED,-2-3 TIMES AT THE MOST. THE CONDITION OF THE VINYL IS REFLECTED IN THE AUDIO. I HAVE LISTENED TO THE WHOLE LP AT GREAT VOLUME AND OVERALL IT WAS A SUPERB LISTEN.I WOULD GRADE THE AUDIO AS NEAR MINT IF NOT MINT. IT WOULD BE HARD TO FIND BETTER
THE LABELS ARE IN NEAR MINT CONDITION IF NOT BETTER.
THE GARROD AND LOFTHOUSE OCTAGONAL GATEFOLD SLEEVE IS IN NEAR MINT CONDITION AND LOOKS BRILLIANT. THERE ARE A COUPLE OF AREAS OF VERY VERY LIGHT STORAGE WEAR TO THE TOP OF THE FRONT GATEFOLD BUT THIS IS BEING VERY CRITICAL. AGAIN I WOULD SAY IT WOULD BE HARD TO FIND A BETTER SLEEVE
THE ORIGINAL OCTAGONAL RED MONO INNER SLEEVE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH SOME LIGHT CREASING. THE LP WILL BE SENT IN A NEW INNER.
OVERALL A SUPERB COPY OF THIS VERY RARE LP.
PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT MY OTHER LISTINGS FOR OTHER CLASSIC ROCK LPS.
I use the Record Collector guide to grade my records-see below
The Lp will be sent in professional mailers and will be sent in the Uk at a cost of £3.00. The cost of postage in Europe is £8.00 which includes international signed for delivery as mandatory . Please note that i combine shipping for multiple buys. Anyone bidding who does not have feedback will have their bid cancelled straight away. I am very sorry about this but again this is due to problems experienced in the past. Anyone without feedback and who wants to bid please contact me first.
Grading:- MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
