Condizioni : copertina in solido cartone  mostra unicamente qualche leggero innalzamento della carta ocra nella parte destra inferiore del lato frontale; grande stato, NEAR MINT / vinile con minimi segnetti senza condizionamento per il perfetto ascolto con l'eccezione di pochi lievi clicks, EX+ molto vicino a near mint / libretto di 16 pagine (circa 29 x 21 cm) con molte foto in bianco e nero del pittore e delle sue opere, testo in Inglese, per cortesia si osservi l'immagine 4; in perfetto stato.

Conditions : hardbound cover shows some light lift of the ochre paper in the lower right part of the front, NEAR MINT / disc has a few cosmetic rubs which do not affect play with the exception of a few slight clicks, EX+ very close to near mint / the 16-page booklet (approx. 29 x 21 cms.) features several b/w photos of the painter and his masterpiece paintings, English text, please look to image 4. In perfect shape.

GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie vengono controllati sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i i 33 giri in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1. Per EP e singoli a 45 giri utilizzo un Thorens TD 166 BC con testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All LPs in auction have been fully heard on a turntable Rega Planar 3 with a moving magnet cartridge Grado Statement 1. I listen EPs and singles 45  rpm. on a turntable Thorens TD 166 BC with a MM cartridge Goldring 1006. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : musiche composte da Roman Vlad, orchestra condotta da Franco Ferrara. Nei crediti dell’album leggiamo " composizione di flamenco per orchestra e chitarra…". A mio avviso tutto questo è riduttivo e quasi penalizza la superba musica contenuta nel disco. Senza alcun dubbio Mario Gangi, uno dei più grandi chitarristi non soltanto Italiani di sempre, esprime magnifici virtuosismi con il suo strumento dove spesso gli accordi sono tipicamente quelli del flamenco, compresa la cosidetta "cadenza Andalusa". Ugualmente avviene per l’orchestra. Tuttavia descrivere in musica alcune fasi salienti della storia di Pablo Picasso comporta talvolta un distaccamento da questa bella musica per meglio riflettere le vicende del documentario. Momenti dolorosi della sua vita pittorica come " Guernica " dove il forte impatto drammatico è guidato da vigorose percussioni. Similmente in " Korea and Peace ". Suoni fortemente distorti in " Surrealism " mentre " Antibes " ha particolari effetti sonori emessi da strumenti a fiato. In conclusione, magnifici suoni di flamenco, fantastico virtuosismo del chitarrista e pure dell’orchestra. Un album che vale la pena avere.

In the album’s credits we read " Flamenco score for orchestra and guitar… " In my opinion it is an understatement a little penalizing the superb music of the record. Undoubtedly Mario Gangi, one of the greatest and not only Italian guitarists ever, shows great virtuosities with its instrument wherein often the chord sequences are typically those of flamenco, the so-called "Andalusian cadence" included. Likewise this happens with the orchestra. However to describe in music some salient phases of Pablo Picasso’s history requires sometimes a detachment from this beautiful music in order to better reflect the events of the documentary. Distressing moments of his pictorial life as " Guernica " where the heavy dramatic impact is led by impetuous percussions. Similarly it happens in " Korea and Peace ". Strongly distorted sonorities in " Surrealism " while " Antibes " has special sound effects by wind instruments. In conclusion, magnificent flamenco sound, huge guitaristic and orchestral virtuosity. An album whose acquisition is worth it.
