Description

Victor V-19012

Artist: Musica Regimentului 2 Vanatori RE / Orchestra Jean Marcu
Tracks: Sarba Vanatorilor / Sarba Lui Costica

Excellent split side, recorded in Romania in late 1927 and pressed from the masters on Victor. A-side is great "military" band (though sounding far closer to klezmer) of a "sarba" dance ("Dance of the Sharpshooters"). Flip is a fiddle-led orchestra - uptown group but doesn't get too syrupy, and has great violin. Rare disc.

Condition: E+ (beautiful)

I will be regularly selling a lot of amazing discs from around the world in the coming months. Please bookmark me and check back in.
