Real AMERICAN music: For nigh on four decades, the (mostly Tuscaloosa) Alabama-based duo LaDonna Smith and Davey Jones (and a constellation of like-minded artists associated with them) have been creating a fantastic hybrid idiom, New Weird America or whatnot avant la lettre, free-jazz (modern classical?) improv based in stringed instruments, with a down-home rural roots-music feel and a humorous sensibility both earthy and surreal. I don’t think it would be too much of a limb to climb out on to say that each of their releases (besides being rarities – some on the legendary Nurse With Wound list) are frankly indispansible slices of late-summer moon-pie.

LP is in excellent VG+++ condition or better, VERY clean and quiet throughout. Gatefold sleeve looks new, no splits, spine is intact.
