RONALD SNIJDERS - BLACK STRAIGHT MUSIC (Black Straight Music, private press, 1981)
Rare original Dutch only privately pressed Caribbean latin jazz funk LP by flautist / multi-instrumentalist Ronald Snijders on his own Black Straight Music label. This LP hardly needs an introduction. Funky Caribbean latin jazz on this breaks-laden LP. Bass, drums, clavinet, percussion, electric piano and flute open the funky "Wild Grass". There's "Latinetta" with its percussive Brasil groove, fat bass, Airto-like scat vocals and batucada style ending, complete with party whistles. Funky clavinet cum flute and serious waka-waka guitar soloing in "Be Funky". Serious latin jazz funk LP!
Shiny vinyl is in excellent condition with only a few light scuffs. Clean labels. Sleeve is fully intact - no splits - but with a tear in the lower corner on front and back (see scans). Rare item in this great condition!
