Description
Prestige Bluesville 1014, "The Honeydripper" with Roosevelt Sykes, vocal and piano; King Curtis, tenor sax; Robert Banks, organ; Leonard Gaskin, bass; Belton Evans, drums. Original DG vinyl plays at NM with virtually no background sound; it has been well protected inside the original rice paper sleeve. The heavy laminated jacket has solid seams all around; there is minor corner wear; there is an apparent water stain on back at upper left; jacket back is basically clean with no writing. There is a small bb hole through both jacket and record label just to the right of RS's eyes. Fortunately, he survived the bb and produced a solid band-based blues session. Numbers are "Miss Ida B.", "Mislead Mother", "Yes Lawd", "I Hate to Be Alone", "Jailbait", "Lonely Day", "Satellite Baby", "Pocketful of Money", and "She Ain't for Nobody". Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $10.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $16.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. Additional single LPs in a single package are $1.00 additional within U.S. and Canada, $3.00 overseas. For overseas shipments, registered mail is strongly recommended at $14.50 extra. Many old records are practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be bent in transit and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window. More than two LPs together may be mailed inside a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
