Description

Musician, artist, and sushi chef Ross Harman took his own life on September 6th, 2010. One year later, fifteen bands assembled to pay tribute through covers of his music as both member of Richmond Virginia synth-pop duo The Gaskets, and as a solo artist known as Ballpoint Pens.
This box set contains all 3 vinyl releases compiling the solo material and tribute covers of the late Ross Harman:

  • BALLPOINT PENS - Calcutta LP
  • BALLPOINT PENS - Symphony LP
  • VARIOUS ARTISTS - Love Me When I'm Gone 2xLP
Each record is limited to 300 copies, and comes in a silkscreened cardboard box with Ross stickers and actual ballpoint pens. Funded through Kickstarter and released by Driven By Boredom Productions in 2012.
The Ballpoint Pens albums were compiled by Gaskets bandmate Teddy Blanks. The "Love Me When I'm Gone" tribute compilation features Jim O’Brien/Schnitzel, White Laces, Greenland, Thomas Danbury, Brian Grosz, Shannon Clearly, Emily Chapman, Novios, Teddy Blanks & Ross Harman, James Wallace, The Atkinsons, The Ex-Patriots, Igor & Patrick, Self, The Rabbits, VCR, The Gaskets, and Ballpoint Pens.
