Description

Rossin Barber of Seville with Maria Callas, Tito Gobbi and Luigi Alva, Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Alceo Galliera recorded 1957 in Kingsway hall, UK. In this set of three LP 1 has the original silver label and LPs 2,3 have second label red semi-circle labels, see photos. The set was issued without libretto, the buyer could order a libretto for extra cost from EMI which apparently was not done.  We have provided a libretto of the same performance from the concurrently issued Angel set.  If winning bidder does not want libretto it will not be included. The conditions of mixed labels and no libretti are not unusual for Columbia/EMI box sets of this vintage. The 3 12" 33 RPM stereo vinyl LPs are visually graded NM with minimal evidence of play. Box has good cover slick but bottom splits, corner and shelf wear with spine lettering slightly faded, graded VG.
