Description

ROSSINI / MARRINER / THE ACADEMY OF St MARTIN-IN-THE-FIELDS - STRING SONATAS ", Argo Recording Company Ltd (ZRG 506) Stereo, 1967.

Very rare 1967, first UK Stereo pressing of the collectable Argo LP with the all important grooved label featuring the original oval Argo logo - see photo.

English issue and pressing.

Professionally cleaned on my Moth record cleaning machine and then put in a fresh new poly-lined inner sleeve (the original inner sleeve has also been kept and will be included with this item).

In the name of getting the auction going, I will start this item at just 99p.


CONDITION:

VINYL =  EXCELLENT  (No scratches, no groove damage, no distortion, just the very lightest of spindle trails, etc. In normal daylight the vinyl appears perfectly clean, under a bright grading lamp I can make out a few very light paper scuffs just visible on the vinyl's surface - although none of these correspond directly to any audible defects. On playback, there is some very faint surface noise just audibile during the silent run-in. Once the music starts, it plays perfectly - free from interuption from distortion, clicks, pops, etc.
Overall, although it is not quite mint, it has no obvious defects either... not quite a museum piece but still a beautiful copy of a very rare record that would be great play and enjoy as it was originally intended.
Note: for the purposes of this listing I have tested this LP on my Linn LP12 Sondek turntable - generally this is quite a critical test, but I must point out that I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable - common sense for most... but then this is ebay!!!)

SLEEVE = EXCELLENT- (No rips, tears, massive creases, defacing, etc. Just some light creases in the laminate along the spine - see photos for further clarification)
