Description

Rotomagus -Fightin' Cock/The Sky Turns Red -Butterfly (1971 France)

Condition: EX/EX

Hard to believe this is from 1971!!!!  It makes the MC5 sound like The Osmonds. it’s not just proto Punk but Proto Hardcore for chrissakes!. With enough spite and fiery attitude to make Joan of Arc squeal; Fightin’ Cock is pure flammable high energy. The vocals are nuts...Fight...Cock, he was a fightin’ COCK. The guitar riffs and grinds and approaches a Stooges via Motorhead apocalyptic grandeur in the lead break and finale. Rotomagus were previously on CBS and Polydor, but reconvened on the small Butterfly label for this incredible release.

Grading: I don’t use the term Mint. I don’t believe that records manufactured over 30 years ago, even if unplayed, can be called mint.

Grading is always sleeve/record

Excellent: Means either “near mint” to some very light  marks with hardly any noticeable noise. Sleeve has no or only minor wear.

VG: Means  some light noticeable background sound and more pronounced marks which do not affect the listening experience in a major way. Sleeve may be creased,  minor discolouring, the odd fraying, slight ringwear, seam split and perhaps some minor writing.

G: means noticeable clicks or pop, may have scratches, but doesn’t skip or jump. Sleeve may be ripped, tape repair, large writing, sticker removal damage etc...

Fair:Not a pleasant listening experience, the disc is damaged, just a stop gap before upgrading. Sleeve might be badly damaged, not one to frame on the wall...

Postage: I combine postage- 2 singles for the same price as 1 for all countries. Thereafter UK 50p for each extra single, Europe 75p and USA/Asia £1 extra. If ordering more than 1 single, please await my invoice.

All records sent out in professional mailers with 2 stiffeners. Records packaged separately if housed in picture sleeve.

Insurance strongly recommended for high priced items and compulsory for packages of a value of over £80. Insurance added at cost. I retain proof of postage for all items. Items without insurance are sent at your own risk.

Payment: UK= PayPal or cheque (item sent when cheque has cleared). Overseas =PayPal only
